Nowadays, many couples opt to forgo traditional (and expensive) weddings in favor of a more intimate gathering at a destination they love. Destination weddings allow couples to extend their celebration from four hours to four days (or however long you see fit), while creating a lifetime of memories with their close friends and family. Because they are often more intimate than traditional weddings, destination weddings can also be more affordable for couples.
How far in advance should I be planning my destination wedding?
While 9-12 months is an ideal amount of time for securing the best travel rates, we have worked with couples that have planned gorgeous weddings with only a few months (or days!) to spare. If you do have time to plan further in advance, we always advise couples to start the process sooner rather than later, particularly with large groups. How do you charge for WEDDING MANAGEMENT services
- There are a few standard pricing models that most wedding planners use, including:
- Flat Fee / Fixed Package – This is the most common pricing structure. You’ll be given a clear cost upfront. This works well if you want to know exactly what you’re spending from the beginning. At AmevaGlobal Events, we offer exactly these packages as a starting point.
- Percentage of Budget – Some planners charge a percentage of your total wedding budget — usually between 10–15%. This reflects the scale and complexity of the event, but can feel less predictable if your budget changes as you go.
How Do You Select Your Event Vendors?
Along with our considerable experience with event organising and several other activities, we have developed strong relationships with a number of high-quality vendors across all the geographies we work. A big part of our work is reviewing each vendor and making sure they’re the best in their sectors and have all of the necessary approvals. We really like to partner with suppliers that are enjoyable to work with, as we think it helps the whole planning process go more seamlessly.
Do I Have to Go Through Your Vendors If I Hire You as My Planner/Designer?
No, is the simple answer. We have worked tirelessly to build those partnerships, and we can guarantee the level of service offered by the vendors we recommend. We are, however, more than willing to collaborate with any vendors you choose.
What if my wedding gets postponed/cancelled?
We understand that there may be situations that are beyond your control and you may want to postpone or cancel your celebration. We assist you in forming the right contracts from the early stages of the planning process to ensure that you are protected in case of a postponement or cancellation. In the case of an unforeseen situation where a wedding may need to be postponed or cancelled, we assist you with vendors flexibility and refunds where eligible.
